Okay, I'm going cRaZy over this chocolate PB apple platter! Believe it or not, this plate is incredibly healthy: fresh fruit with a 3 ingredient chocolate PB sauce. Boom. Done.
You can make this as simple or as elaborate as you want, but it won't last for long!
Here's how I made it:
- Thinly slice 1 Fugi apple (pictured is about 2/3 of an apple)
- Combine 1/2 TB coconut oil with 1/2 TB Hershey's unsweetened cocoa powder and 1 1/2 TB Justin's peanut butter (or your favorite nut butter) and melt in the microwave for 20 seconds or until completely smooth.
- Fan out apple slices on a plate leaving little room for excess sauce on the bottom, and drizzle chocolate PB sauce on top, creating your own design.
-Place toppings on apples and in excess sauce; I garnished with chia seeds, blueberries, dried cranberries, one strawberry, and chocolate chips (*optional). You could dress it up with your favorite granola too.
Eat or serve immediately for sauce to stay smooth. If you want a more magic-shell coating, let chill in fridge for 5 minutes (my preference), or freeze for just a few. This snack is definitely becoming a staple in my home!
