UNREAL & Justin's PB Cup Reviews

Somehow a couple of chocolate peanut butter cups found their way into my basket at Fred Meyer the other day. Whoops. The good news is there's definitely less guilt here with these Justin's and UNREAL peanut butter cups than your Reese's! (Yes, they really are "unreal!")
I had actually tried Justin's milk chocolate peanut butter cups before and knew they were a winner, but the UNREAL brand was very new to me. Both are organic, gluten free, and I - the gluten free chocolate connoisseur - would HIGHLY recommended both!
Reviews:
UNREAL dark chocolate coconut peanut butter cups: Love the texture and consistency of the creamy and smooth coconut PB mixture in a thick chocolate shell. I also like the initial "crunch" of biting into a filled chocolate as if breaking a chocolatey barrier to embody the goodness inside! I'm also a big fan of coconut, which is why I decided to try this flavor. (Price: usually $1.99, but on sale for 2/$3 @ Fred Meyer) Rating: 10.5/10
Justin's milk chocolate peanut butter cups: Milk chocolate and peanut butter? Yes, I am a fan. These PB cups are actually quite similar to the UNREAL brand. Though I have not yet tried the milk chocolate peanut butter brand of UNREAL, Justin's brand sure did seem similar. It is also smooth, but has a thinner consistency to the peanut butter mixture. These PB cups were slightly larger than the other brand which was very nice; however, this factor may relate back to the price (Price: usually $2.49 @ Fred Meyer, occasionally on sale) Rating: 10/10
What makes these different from Reese's Peanut Butter Cups? Well, we'll start with the health factors. These two products listed above are made from certified organic, gluten free ingredients, and have less sugar than the traditional peanut butter cup. The flavors are so unique too, it's definitely not something you'd find in the candy aisle. Though not necessarily "healthy," these are considered healthier alternatives to tame your sugar craving and quick for on-the-go snacks as well. (Also, less guilt!)
Though I gave these both these brands similar perfect ratings, I'd still say that next time I need a pick-me-up, I'd purchase another UNREAL brand peanut butter cup package: maybe for the fact that it's brand new to me or because it's cheaper, but the flavor certainly can't be denied. Justin's: more protein, less sodium; UNREAL: fewer calories, less sugar, less carbs, less fat. (Do note that these are two different flavors of brands being compared.)
All in all, these are a MUST try - Happy Chocolatier-ing! 🍫
